In this Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA) video, Cathy shares how the MSAA changed her life.

Cathy was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 16 years ago, and while she tries not to let the disease affect her active outdoor lifestyle, one of her symptoms tends to get in the way. Cathy suffers from heat-related fatigue.

Luckily, the MSAA stepped in to help. As part of their Changing Lives Monday Through Sunday initiative, the organization provided Cathy with a cooling vest, which allows her to continue her outdoor pursuits.

The effects were instantaneous. As soon as Cathy put on the vest, she immediately felt cooler and more energized. She particularly likes that the vest appears to be a regular piece of clothing and not something designed specifically for someone who has multiple sclerosis. Cathy’s incredibly grateful to the MSAA, as this small act of kindness completely changed her life.
