This is Laurie Lambert’s story:  when her friend shared her MS diagnosis, immediately she wondered what this diagnosis would mean. Laurie worried MS would change the essence of who her friend was. How would this affect her independence?

Laurie now feels that the initial shock and panic have worn off, and she understands that their friendship will continue to grow as they both navigate life, including MS. “My role as a friend remains the same”. Lauren is a constant in her friend’s life, and feels privileged to be able to stay close to her.

Lauren, we all need a friend like you!

#MSCommunity, do any of your friends live with MS? If you’re the one with MS, how do your friends support you?

Our #31DaysOfMS initiative is running for the entire month of March. We are featuring a different story daily. To read them all, visit our website.
