Do you look for excuses NOT to go see a doctor?
A woman posted a horrible looking picture of one of her eyes on an MS Facebook group today. The eye was red and swollen but, rather than getting it looked at by an eye doctor, she sought advice from others on Facebook. She received all sorts of “My eye looked like that so it must be….” advice from people in the group, none of whom were medical professionals. To me, seeking advice this way is dangerous. What do you think? And, be honest, have you done the same thing?
