OK, mine is a weird duo:

It’s a Wonderful Life is one of my favorites. A failure when released in 1946 but became a classic when in 1974 its owners failed to license it. Free to TV it was then that we all watched this ‘wonderful’ film that is perhaps the 20th century equivalent of A Christmas Carol.

Die Hard is another classic. Yes, I know it’s an action film that’s set during Xmas. But that’s enough for me.

What are your favorite holiday movies?

Want to have an old-time experience? The National Press Club in Washington, DC (of which I’m a member) produced a “radio” version of “It’s a Wonderful Life.” You can listen to it on YouTube. https://youtu.be/D8QFHw4cAEg
