  • Perhaps Why We Get Bothered When We Get Hot!

In this article ‘New research sheds light on why MS symptoms get worse in hot weather’ on the MS Society UK website. It seems that sodium might be to blame. The research is a few weeks old as I’ve only just spotted it! Apologies if our news team already have – doesn’t hurt to plug this info y’all.

‘Mark, and his MS Society-funded PhD student Lavinia Austerschmidt, teamed up with other scientists and doctors to find out how to reduce this movement. They have shown a drug called bumetanide can partially stop it happening in rats’.

Has this news helped to stop u getting hot under the collar [arf]?

If only we were rats. That’s good to know though. I find bringing cold water and cold packs with me helps dramatically when braving the scorching sun. Unfortunately, once the cold pack melts, so does brain.
