Study of Electrical Stimulation in Treating Brain Injury Enrolls First Patient
The first patient has been enrolled in a single-site trial (University of New Mexico) to evaluate the potential of electrical stimulation, using a device called Electroceutical Therapy, in reducing brain injury, Endonovo Therapeutics, the therapy’s developer, announced. Electroceutical Therapy is a non-invasive and wearable electronic device that uses pulsed electromagnetic fields (PEMF) to stimulate the central nervous system.
The device repurposes the natural signals produced by the central nervous system to alleviate or mitigate symptoms of brain injury, and it could help people with MS.
