Biography

I have had MS for 42 years now  being diagnosed after I lost my eye sight in my left eye   I was at Uni at the time and was rushed in the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford where I had the usual tests.  Since then progress with the diseas has been very slow and have only recently been told that I am now Secondary Progressive.  My treatment has been a succession of pills and treatments    NOTHING works to take the pains away    I’ve tried Morphine and cannabis    not even that worked  we had to pay for that which gave me lots of Boots points but not a lot else.   Now I seem to be seeing my GP every three weeks and am trying out   or should I say RE trying out more pills.      use a scooter to get around but not much else.   I can walk with my stick but get very tired.  I’m not one to give up so we just carry on as each day arrives and hopefully will do for many more days yet.   I was a teacher but now I am a published children’s author and enjoy giving my gnomes and fairies more adventures in the garden centre where they all live.
