Biography

I am a Christian wife, mother, grandmother and retired RN. I have MS, RA and IDA but they do not have me! I am thankful each day I have with my wonderful supportive family and friends and believe a positive attitude and laughter to be as helpful as any drug regimen. I am fortunate to still be walking albeit with assistance at times since my gait is off balance and as most of us I have the usual issues with fatigue, brain fog, aches, bladder, speech etc but I take my Aubagio faithfully and use a ton of topicals to avoid narcotics. I have lesions in both brain and spine but I try to stay as active both physically and cognitively as possible. I love to read and do so until I HAVE to rest the eyes. I knit, crotchet and sew horribly but I do it anyway and most of all I love to cook and BAKE. I help cook an Wednesday’s at our Church for about 250 adults and children for our bus ministry/ bible study and although it sometimes puts me in bed on Thursday, I LOVE IT! I miss my RN days as a PACU nurse where I worked for 22 years but I appreciate the education and love I received from the hospital where I worked. I am thankful and blessed!
