Short Bio

I was diagnosed in May, 2006. I believe that I had MS from childhood. I could not balance on a bicycle. My roller skating was awkward and very difficult. I would go to doctors and provide my list of symptoms which included lack of energy, dizziness, my muscles were numb, but my skin was hypersensitive. There were a variety of other complaints and symptoms. My GP was on the right track, I believe. He would send me for lupus testing which came back negative. So, in 2006, I went to a chiropractor. I gave him my usual litany of complaints. He did some testing and just said “You get to a neurologist as soon as possible”. I asked him what he suspected. He said MS. I left there numb and stayed pretty much numb for a very long time. I have very little memory of the numerous appointments and tests. Today I’m in a better mindset. I have a terrific husband who is so supportive and helpful. My children don’t truly understand, but they take over most tasks for me. My grandchildren are wonderful. They are young and don’t get it. But, they are attentive and never complain if I say I can’t do it. Whatever it is!
