Short Bio

I had first first symptom Jan. 1990. Woke up with a tingling, numb right hand and arm that went down my entire right side. Incorrectly had surgery on right elbow for a compressed ulna nerve. Feet started tingling in late 1990’s that very slowly got worse. I was a very good golfer and was starting to play worse and worse due to balance issues. In 2008 I had an MRI and met with a very arrogant neurologist. Stupidly left him and did nothing until 2013 because symptoms we getting worse. Went to another doctor and had  a comprehensive 2.5 hour MRI w/wo contrast. New doctor finally told me I had MS and had a spinal tap to confirm it. Then went to Cleveland Clinic Mellon Center for guidance. Suggested Tecfidera without really understanding what type of MS I had. I said no thanks and chose to monitor and treat with vitamin D. Now in late 2019 I can still get around (sort of) with a cane but can’t stand for more than 5
minutes. All I take is 600mg Gabapentin 4 times a day and a 50mg Tramadol in the morning for aches and pain. Over the past 5 years the MS has moved up over my knees and worse in my shoulder.
