Not on  a day to day basis, nor MS basis but…I-we, have just joined a largish group of seniors once a week ( Wednesdays ) that meet in a church hall for bingo, raffle and a cup of tea….It is company, communication that breaks up what was once my boring week, that now makes my week go a tad faster, something to look forwards to…

Traci T replied to the topic Have you had a lumbar puncture to help diagnose your MS? in the forum Living With MS 3 years, 5 months ago

No I was not offered a lumbar puncture, my consultant said that I was suffering anxiety so didn’t think it would be beneficial, guess he assumed I wouldn’t be able to have coped with it, and maybe not…as he said he was as sure as could be it was definitely PPMS…I have no reasons to doubt it, or to have doubted him…I have heard that a lumbar…[Read more]

Traci T replied to the topic Designing an accessible home in the forum Living With MS 3 years, 5 months ago

The person ( man ) I live with would not put in a shower for my benefit at our old house, he was happy living there, did not want to move, but I needed a shower and a home on one level, we were in a house with stairs…If only he had put in a shower, we would probably still be there…Now of course I wish we still was, as I so miss the people I…[Read more]

…I refuse to take anti depression meds, I want to keep a clear head and anyway they wont sort my problems out…the things that are or have caused my depression in the first place…My depression stems back to the age of seven…followed by ages 13 to 17…then again my 20s, followed by my 50s and 60s…a mixture of all three, sexual-…[Read more]

Traci T replied to the topic MS can be….how would you complete this sentence? in the forum Living With MS 3 years, 5 months ago

MS can be unforgiving, I’ve learned a lot about my personal case with it and learned I can’t trust my body to recover on its own. It’s important I listen to it to keep MS controllable.

    Mody…

…please dont mess up your body any more than MS is already messing it up, you may have done it more harm ( just my opinion ) ….you have been- you are trying several  things to cure or relieve your MS, I dont believe we will ever find a cure until they find out for definite why we get it in the first place….I am sure a cure wont be…[Read more]

Debi, re, ” self talk ” now that is another thing I do a lot…talk to myself…although I have yet to answer myself….I haven’t quite got to that stage yet….Do you remember that song….” they are coming to take me away ha ha…”

Traci T replied to the topic Is there an outside exercise program that you enjoy? in the forum Let's Have Some Fun! 3 years, 5 months ago

    I’ve always been fairly active.

I’ve had ms for about 14 years and my symptoms have been fairly minor.  I have a relapse every 3-4 years and almost completely recover.

I was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2015.  I had a major operation that removed part of my lung diaphragm and the lining of my heart.  The operation was followed by chemo.…[Read more]
