Exercise is very important for people with multiple sclerosis, and doctors often recommend low-impact, gentle exercise that incorporates a lot of stretching. The Koppele Method of Pilates specializes in stretches that benefit patients with multiple sclerosis. In this video shared in 2015, Pilates teacher Megan Koppele takes viewers through some basic stretches explaining exactly what each one does and how to do them properly.

Discover some more Koppele Method exercises designed specifically for the feet.

Megan explains which stretches should be done in the morning and which are better done at night, and explains which ones can help with foot drop, psoas strength, core and back strength and thighs, all of which can be adapted depending on your physical abilities.

Here are some more simple leg exercises for multiple sclerosis.
