Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a degenerative neurological disease that attacks the central nervous system. Symptoms vary considerably between patients, depending on the severity and where in the central nervous system that the attacks occur. Although there is currently no cure for MS, treatments exist to help with symptoms and lower the frequency of flares.
In this inspirational Multiple Sclerosis Society of NZ video, we meet several MS patients who provide real life accounts of their symptoms, how the disease has changed their lives, and how much they value the support of people around them.
