Biography

Diagnosed at age 29.   I have experienced 4 relapses with multiple cord and cerebral lesio lesions seen in MRI.  Relapsescwere treated with IV solumedrol.  Tried interferon but quit due to side effects.  Can’t take other DMTs due to high JCV titer and risk of leukoencephalopathy.  My disease has continued to progress despite a high dose biotin regimen.  I have experienced bowel and bladder control issues, have vertigo/balance issues, tinnitus and chronic fatigue.  I take a number of supplements including 6000IU of vita D.  On top of MS, I was diagnosed and treated with stage 3 esophageal cancer and treated with chemo/radiation.  Yet with all of this, I am still working full time.  Attitude is everything.  You own the disease, the disease does not own you!
