I was 49 when my MS was finally diagnosed – though I had already been hit by a solitary sclerosis a few years before. So I was sort of slowly eased into it. It took me years to join in something like – wish I’d been like u!
Anyway, welcome – loads of info, research & experiences on here.
You can also start topics – my fellow
moderator Ed Tobias explains ‘Posting Items’ at the top of each Forum.
As you’re new to MS sure you’ll first look at the ‘Newly Diagnosed Forum’ . As one of the ‘Patient Columnists’ I wrote one sparked by a post ‘An Open Letter to a Newly Diagnosed
Patient’ https://multiplesclerosisnewstoday.com/columns/2019/08/07/open-letter-advice-newly-diagnosed-forums/
Cheers John
Welcome to the forums. There’s a lot of information here but it may be a lot for you to wade through right now.
I was diagnosed in 1980 and I’m 72 years old. I worked full-time until retiring at the end of 2012. I’ve traveled all over the US and to about 20 countries and my wife and I have two fantastic grandkids.
In 1980 there were no treatments for MS. Today there are more than 20. An MS diagnosis back then wasn’t the end of the world and it’s less so today.
Please don’t be shy about asking questions or making comments in our topic forum and reach out to John Connor or to me if we can help.
