Hi,

I was diagnosed with RRMS at age 21 in July 2005.  I remember the day like it was yesterday.  Mostly when my Dad told the neurologist to go f**k himself when he suggested I start medication asap.  At that time the only DMT available was an injectable medication which I believe was Copaxone.  I didn’t go on medication for a long time and lived symptom free till I was 30.  At that time newly married and planning a family living in North Vancouver.

Sadly two years go by, and I decide to leave my husband and embrace the uncertainty and turmoil from a divorce.  I had my reasons certainly and don’t regret leaving at all.  At that time I decided Tecfidera which I was on for only 6 months or so.  The side effects were brutal as I suffered with spontaneous diarrhea, constant nausea, flushing.  Thought it was going to ease off with time, but didn’t.  Then I started my Rituxan infusions and have been on that since.

December 2020 I had a bone marrow stem cell transplant in Chicago Illinois which I am presently recovering from.
