I am a professional volunteer in my community. I was diagnosed with MS in 2000 which brought to light some mental health problems I’ve been dealing with since Childhood undiagnosed. I associate myself with quite a few groups and non-profit support hubs for people with a disability. Most notably my largest “hat” is the facilitator of my local MS Self Help group and president of the local Power Mobility society a group that promotes safe enjoyment of our rolling electric mobility devices. I also sit as past chair to an Accessible Transit Action committee that looks at public transportation like BC Transit buses and specialized accessible transit services such as BC Transit’s HandyDART and Taxis.
