Diagnosed with PPMS after being off work with a back injury, Spinal surgeon suspected ms, referred me to a Neurologist after 3 MRI examinations, a week later Neurologist told me you have something called PPMS, there is no cure, you will never work again, I was 57 yrs old, and he was right. I have progressed from using a stick, to using crutches when out, and an electric wheelchair for Hospital and other appointments. I take Medication for all symptomatic problems, and have been on Sativex for just over a year now, as i could`nt take Baclofen or Gabapentin, My Neuro prescribed Sativex and it helps a lot with spasms and pain, so at least I have some relief.
