I have been in the “poo mud” for a while now. Started 4 1/2 years ago. No warning from my butt which says, “get to bathroom now!”. Horrible bouts of diarrhea with unknown cause and now fecal incontinence with severe anal nerve pain. Sphincter muscles no longer function.  Ahhh… bottle of Immodium is a double edged sword. If I take one, then there is no poo for a week, which causes more anal pain and stomach pain. Nothing has helped and doctors really don’t know what to do with me. I refuse to have a Colostomy as I know that will cause more complications for me. So I sit in the “poo gutter”.

    Hi Jilleen,

I get leg spasms too and only when laying down. I’m not even sure it’s a spasm, but it only happens in my left leg, from my ankle to my knee. It’s a weird feeling that makes me have to move my leg and stretch it. Five minutes later, it does it again.. very aggravating and can do this for hours. It’s impossible not to move it, literally would make me insane.
