I was in a clinical trial many years ago. The bad news was that I was on the placebo. The good news is that the trial was successful and I was able to start, immediately, on one of the first DMTs, Avonex.

Would you participate in the testing of a new drug?

At my age 68 in a fortnights time, would it be worth it? Well maybe yes if it is to help our – my future generations and by that I mean, God forbid my daughter, soon to be 50, my grandson early 30’s, my great grandchild 3, from getting it, even though it is not believed to be hereditary, although maybe in our genes, it would be worth it and beneficial. I would not wish  this MS on any members of my immediate family.
