Cooling products and MS
Summer is upon us in the Northern Hemisphere, and it’s well established that heat and multiple sclerosis don’t mix. I live in a very humid environment and have found that products that rely on ice or require being wet to cool through evaporation don’t work well in high humidity.
For example, my cool wet rag on the back of my neck becomes a warm, soggy rag in about 10 minutes, and my ice vest soaks me, negating any of its cooling benefits.
I’m experimenting with some phase change cooling products and wanted to know if anyone else had experience with them. The claim is that they cool you without freezing you or getting you wet.
We’ll see, and I’ll be sure to report back with my personal experience. In the meantime, tell me yours. Do you have any tips for cooling products that work for you?
