MS Awareness Month is in March, and Multiple Sclerosis News Today is asking for your personal stories as someone with MS, a family member, or a caregiver. I hope you’ll consider sharing your story with the multiple sclerosis community.

    MS Community Spotlight

Hi! My name is Ben Hofmeister, and I’m a moderator for MS News. I’m reaching out to you about a project I’m helping moderate for MS Awareness Month in March, and I’d love for you to contribute to this initiative!

We created this project to highlight, champion, and raise the different voices within our community.

In March, we will feature 31 stories of members of the MS community. Our goal is to have a collection of different approaches to different facets of life with MS that could (hopefully) connect and empower our readers. Contributions are all voluntary, but keep in mind that we’re looking for short stories that are to be edited by our professional team.

This is a space for you to write about your experience, from your unique angle, on how MS has influenced your life. This reflects your experiences. This is your story.

To complement the story, we aim to provide visual support for our readers. That’s why we will need four or more images that support the content of your story.

    *What we need from you*:

    – Send us a written piece, 350-500 words long (If you need more, let me know), sharing your experience with MS. Please do this in a Microsoft Word Document or PDF format. Please suggest a title.

    – *Very Important* Include at least 3 High-Quality pictures in PNG, JPEG, or JPG format to support your story. If anybody apart from yourself appears in any of these pictures, we need to know their names so we can add them too. Include descriptions and footnotes to contextualize your story with these images. We will also need 1 High-Quality image of your choice as a cover for your story that goes along with your suggested title.

    – Make sure to tell us your Instagram handle so we can tag you. If you don’t use Instagram, feel free to share with us your preferred social media account.

*By when*: We only have 31 spots, so please send us your story and images as soon as possible to increase your chances of being featured in this campaign.

I’m excited about this project! I think your story would be a great one to share.

Do let me know if you have any questions!
