Seasonal Affective Disorder and MS
It’s winter here in the Northern Hemisphere, complete with shorter days and cold temperatures. Both of these keep me inside more and I blame less time spent outside for a portion of my depressed mood.
I’ve never been told that I have Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), but it sometimes feels that way. I can’t recall feeling more depressed in the winter months before multiple sclerosis limited my time outside in the sun. Maybe we should call it MS Affective Disorder, (MAD).
Is your mood affected by how much time you spend indoors?
