This is Inês Velosa’s story: On June 6, 2021, her husband was diagnosed with MS. Life, as they knew it, was over.

As Inês learned about all the science behind MS, she also found it helpful to read stories from other people who were going through a similar thing. She read submissions to our #31DaysofMS series and found a lot of comfort.

Turns out that, although their life changed dramatically, it brought many positive things. Her husband found the strength to make positive changes and enjoy life. Inês’ message to anyone recently diagnosed is: “You’ve got this!”

Inês you and your husband are the image of resilience!

Back to our MS Community: What was the biggest change that came with your diagnosis? How did you manage it all?

Our #31DaysOfMS initiative is running for the entire month of March. Each day, we are featuring a different story, and a different view of life with MS. To read all of the stories, visit our website.
