    OK this one – besides the title – I got a bit lost in! But as I have a Neurodegenerative Disease I’m blaming that!

    Such being the case here’s a quote from the article from the Drug Target Review which hopefully explains it: ‘Dr Akassoglou and colleagues sequencing the immune cells of the brain, it had never been established which immune cells contributed to oxidative injury and what their relative contribution was’.

    Please let me know if you attempt this one! Do you find it interesting that scientists are trying to look at Neurodegenerative Disease in general?

    This is quite technical but very interesting as it shows that in a mouse  model, they were actually able to block this oxidative stress  that these genes seem to cause and reverse all symptoms of MS. Let’s hope that this goes to human trials soon.
