A shout-out is due to my fellow MS Co-Moderator, Ed Tobias, who gives an honorable mention to yours truly in his column today ‘Dr. Glaucomflecken and Other Healthcare Jokers.

I was never a stand-up – except for a brief 6 months 40 years ago. Instead, I ended up as a comedy producer/TV Casting Director.
Over the years I wrote oodles of jokes & topical song pastiches for the comics in my show.

The only joke I wrote about my MS was: ‘I’m one of the few people in comedy who uses a catheter – so you know that I really do take the piss out of myself!’

If you want me to try writing a set here – that I’d have to comment on it as I go along. You will need to shout out now.
Personally, I hope you ignore this – writing gags is the hardest discipline I’ve ever been involved in.

    Maybe not a stand-up, John…but certainly a health care Joker! (Rim-shot!)
