My column next week deals with the silent inflammation that forms lesions in MS.  The  inflammation  can also be a   catalyst  towards other chronic diseases.

Have you ever had your inflammation level tested? Are you on a special diet or drug treatment to help curb inflammation?

Seems with our NHS system here in UK, one is just diagnosed then left to get on with it with the help of an MS Specialist Nurse  who are overworked ( there is one for every 400 plus MS patients, )…. we have no follow ups apart from some who see an annual MS ( hospital ) Consultant…I am assuming for recommending the medications…this is not the case for me, a once only visit and he doesn’t want to see me gain, he says because it is PPMS that I have…So no future MRI scans to see what has been or, what is going on inside my body….for me, this is as good as it gets…To be honest I am happy now to be left well alone…I am becoming my own advocate and I will look after ME the best that I can…I have left myself no other choice…
