Low Levels of APP Molecule Found in Patients With MS-related Fatigue
With the summer upon us in the Northern hemisphere – we’ve already got an unseasonal heat wave here in the UK this week – this finding of ‘Low Levels of APP Molecule Found in Patients With MS-related Fatigue’ is, to my limited medical knowledge, the first time there may be a scientific explanation for this anchor to the majority of our lives.
I presume high heat may cause fatigue for most of us because our body/brain is under stress and the lack of APP stops our brains from handling it.
Before you get too excited ‘Amyloid precursor protein (APP) gives rise to the amyloid-β peptide and thus has a key role in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease’.
So here’s some out there speculation – maybe those of us with MS are safer from contracting Alzheimer’s disease?
Any thoughts?
As they said in my youth, answers on a postcard please – as you won’t find any, just reply below. This is just speculation.
