Were Your MS Symptoms Initially Ignored by Your Doctor?
I have nothing to complain about as had no idea. My GP got it in one. I found myself in hospital for the next two weeks going through a barrage of tests.
It’s been a recurring theme from members and this article from a local UK web news site Teesside Live ‘Nurse living with MS ‘fobbed off’ as a teen and told she was probably ‘watching too much TV’ made me think it might make a good discussion point.
So how did your initial meeting with your doctor go?

My symptoms weren’t ignored but it took about a year, and two neurologists at a major university’s hospital, to diagnose me. (This was so long ago it was before the MRI machine was invented.) My wife, the Chief Physical Therapist at that hospital, diagnosed me before the neuros did.
