Novartis And Tictrac Raise Awareness For MS With Health Tracking Challenge
Pharmaceutical company Novartis and health tracking and analytics platform TictracĀ recently partnered up to supportĀ World Multiple Sclerosis Day and raise awareness for this disease by launching the campaign The 7-Day Challenge to Live Like You.
The challenge, one of the first integrations of emerging technological trends by a pharmaceutical company, will allow participants to keep track of key parts of their daily life through wearable technology or accessing personal online systems that people use on a daily basis. After seven days, the Challenge will send participants an email with customized insights into what works best for them.
The goal is to help people to live with MS, managing stress, mood, fitness or even sexual activity. āWhile Tictrac’s technology can be applied to many conditions, [since] MS impacts so many aspects of a person’s lifestyle, it’s a natural fit for us,ā Tictrac Senior Account Manager Nooreen Kara told MobiHealthNews.
Recognizing the importance of personalized information and tracking for symptom management and helping to figure out of what is and isn’t working, Novartis also launched Living Like You, an online resource community that features personal content for the MS community.

World MS Day was created by the Multiple Sclerosis International Foundation in 2009 to raise global awareness of MS and its impact on approximately 2.3 million people who suffer from this disease. This year’s World MS Day campaign focuses on ‘access,’ an increasingly important topic, as there is a need for access to personalized online information that allows people to use available tools in order to make adjustments that can help them to manage their MS in a way that best suits their lifestyle.
