National MS Society Fundraiser in Dallas Sponsored by Tri Global Energy
Tri Global Energy, an ongoing supporter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Dallas chapter, will be the title sponsor of one of the society’s premier fundraising events, “Dallas On the Move Luncheon.”
The Dallas-based company, which specializes in renewable energy and energy storage, signed the sponsorship with a $25,000 donation, it announced in a press release.
Tri Global Energy has also been actively involved in the society’s Bike MS — the world’s largest fundraising bike series — since 2016. Team Wind Force, a cycling team organized by the company, regularly reached Top Fundraiser, Club 100 (top 100 in fundraising), or Club K ($1,000-plus in fundraising) rankings, and raised more than $100,000 in this year’s event.
The Dallas On the Move Luncheon — featuring an elegant lunch, entertainment, inspirational speakers, and prize drawings — will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 5 at at the city’s Ritz Carlton Hotel. It is expected to raise more than $200,000.
The event aims to support local programs that improve quality of life for people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS), and support national research projects focusing on MS. The Company On the Move Award, to be presented at the luncheon, honors leaders in the MS movement for their work toward making a difference for patients.
Trace Sherer, author of the book “Nerves of Steel: Lessons That MS Taught Me,” will be the event’s keynote speaker. Trace is a Houston attorney and mediator who has been living with MS for more than 20 years.

On the Move Luncheon is a nationwide fundraising program that brings together business leaders and community members to celebrate generosity and achievement, and to raise funds and awareness in finding a cure for MS.
Money raised is used to support MS research, programs, and services that help those living with MS. More than 20 of these events are hosted across the U.S.
The National MS Society hosted a virtual DC On the Move Luncheon in May, and a Houston event on Sept. 24. This year’s New Orleans event was postponed to April 21, 2022, to give the community time and space as it recovers from Hurricane Ida.
