Key Philly-Area Multiple Sclerosis Center Adds MS Specialist To Its Team

Pennsylvania-based Abington Health  has announced that it has named Nataliya Ternopolska, M.D. as the new associate medical director of their Multiple Sclerosis Center. Ternopolska will not only take over the leadership position, but will also join The Neurology Group at the facility. Abington Health is an organization that includes several health-related institutions that serve the Philadelphia area and surrounding suburbs, including its multiple sclerosis center.

Dr. Ternopolska’s addition to the team at Abington will benefit the MS patient population that the organization treats in and around Philadelphia. She graduated from Vinnica Medical University in Ukraine, and completed her residency in Neurology at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. Her specialization in multiple sclerosis began with her fellowship, which was completed at the Judith Jaffe Multiple Sclerosis Center at Weill Cornell Medical College.

Ternopolska’s research has been focused not only on multiple sclerosis, but also on other demyelinating and inflammatory conditions of the central nervous system, which are fields that directly involve MS. In addition to being a member of the American Academy of Neurology since 2010, she currently provides diagnostic and therapeutic plans to patients suffering from general neurological disorders in Blue Bell, Flourtown, Collegeville and Warminster, PA. Ternopolska has also been internationally recognized for her work and has presented her work at several national conferences.

The Neurology Group, located at Blue Bell, Flourtown and Collegeville, works with a group of board-certified physicians and highly qualified clinical and support professionals in order to improve the quality of life of patients suffering from neurological conditions, as well foster healing, ease suffering and promote wellness.

Abington Health, an umbrella organization, includes more 1,400 primary care physicians and specialists within the Abington Memorial Hospital complex, which comprises both Abington and Lansdale Hospital. In addition, the facility also employees more than 6,000 other staff members, which makes it one of the largest employers in the Montgomery County.

Its network of physicians provide healthcare services to more than 39,000 inpatients, 134,000 emergency patients and 653,000 outpatients every year.
